Ba'Thraz, The Spellfighter
This page may contain spoilers regarding Broken Aether.

Ba'Thraz is a hybrid attacker who combines physical and magical damage, with a focus on Light and Dark elemental abilities alongside non-elemental options. His design allows him to contribute across multiple roles depending on how he is developed, functioning as a high-impact damage dealer with access to both spellcasting and weapon-based skills.
Ba’Thraz features a unique Weapon Summon mechanic, where using certain abilities generates stacks that can be stored and then consumed by specific skills. These stacks can be spent to deal neutral magic damage, restore resources, or enhance other effects, making his performance closely tied to maintaining and managing stack rotation. As progression advances, his maximum stack capacity increases, enabling stronger or more varied consumption patterns.
Compared to other magic-focused attackers, Ba’Thraz leans toward high-risk, high-reward damage execution, with abilities that amplify burst potential at the cost of increased vulnerability. His damage scaling can become substantial when supported by party buffs, damage amplification, or abilities that interact with Light and Dark elements, though these setups often require careful timing and team support.
Due to the structure of his kit, Ba'Thraz benefits most from abilities that interact with or enhance his stacking mechanics. Offensive spells from external class sources may be less effective when they do not contribute to stack generation or consumption, making his internal skill rotation the primary driver of performance.

Baseline
Summoned Attack: the core of Ba'Thraz's kit, allowing him to deal very high burst damage based on the number of weapons stacks he gets from using other abilities.
Light Claymore / Sword: bread and butter of his kit, alongside the Dark-based skills.
Dark Spear / Scythe: bread and butter of his kit, alongside the Light-based skills.
Summoned Ether / Heal: this turns Ba'Thraz into a potent situational support, allowing him to replenish TP or HP by consuming his weapon stacks.
Heaven or Hell: with proper setup, combining multiple buffs, on top of Berserker and this one, allows Ba'Thraz to deal the most damage in the game in a single turn with his Ultra Move.
Dispel: on demand enemy buff removal. You'll usually have Lenne with her own Cleanse, since Ba'Thraz needs all his slots for offensive spells and buffs.
Silver Lining: a passive that allows surviving lethal attacks when at full HP.
Summon Effects+: a passive increases the number of stacks of summoned weapons, 1 per level (up to 3 additional weapons summoned, totallizing 6).
Class Abilities
Firestorm / Earthstream Spirit: from Summoner. Synergizes extremely well with his kit since the damage scales with MAG. This ability can be equipped on pretty much any character as it has no set duration and adds extra damage on every turn.
Crystals
MAG Up: stack those and Ba'Thraz will be hitting even harder.
HP Drain: very straightforward. The amount seems to scale with damage done, so the harder you hit, the more you heal.
Accessories
Magic Poleyns: Magical skills can now deal critical hit.
Heavently Ring: reduces the cost of all skills by 20%.

Mid Game
By the time Ba’Thraz joins the party, he has access to mid-tier abilities that expand his hybrid playstyle and introduce stronger Light and Dark elemental options. During this phase, his toolkit emphasizes magic-based skills more than physical ones, as his attribute distribution favors spell damage and stack-based interactions over direct weapon attacks.
Mid-game skills enhance his burst potential by enabling stronger stack consumption and improving elemental coverage. These upgrades allow him to contribute as a primary source of magical damage while maintaining access to sustain or resource-recovery options tied to his Weapon Summon mechanic. Attribute progression during this stage typically reinforces magic power and survivability to support his role in extended encounters.
Class Emblems available in this period offer paths that complement his scaling by enhancing magical attributes or expanding access to additional elemental abilities. These emblem options reinforce his specialization as a magic-leaning hybrid attacker while still supporting flexibility through resource and utility skills.
End Game
In the late-game tier, Ba’Thraz gains access to advanced abilities that reinforce his burst-focused playstyle, enhancing both damage output and the efficiency of stack consumption. These upgrades allow him to convert accumulated stacks into high-impact attacks or additional effects with greater consistency, reinforcing his role as a hybrid caster built around timing and resource cycling.
Late-game progression often focuses on maximizing his magical scaling and improving survivability, ensuring he can function effectively in encounters where aggressive damage windows require reliable setup. Since his output depends on managing stacks, refining his attributes and ability loadout supports both sustained and reactive use of his kit.
As advanced Class Emblems become available, Ba’Thraz can further refine his specialization through options that enhance magical attributes or broaden elemental capabilities. These emblems support builds focused on maximizing spell damage, improving resource flow, or scaling Light and Dark elemental interactions.
End-game equipment options can enhance his spellcasting effectiveness by improving magical power, increasing critical interactions with magic-based abilities, or augmenting elemental output. These choices allow players to tailor Ba’Thraz to specific party compositions and encounter demands, particularly in strategies that rely on coordinated burst damage windows.
