The Three Kingdoms (Taryn, Escanya, Gravos)

The game world is centered on the continent of Lumereth, "a land torn between three great kingdoms - Taryn, Escanya and Gravos". These kingdoms have been at war for over a century, with the story beginning when a catastrophic explosion forces them into a fragile truce. Each kingdom has distinct characteristics: Taryn is shown as a militaristic power that employs relic technology like sky armors; Escanya is depicted as the host of the peace-anniversary celebration and diplomatic settings; and Gravos is introduced as the territory under assault in the prologue. The truce between them is under constant strain as hidden agendas and ancient artifacts drive the narrative back toward war.

The Church / Gandebranth Society

The Church operates not only as a religious institution but also as a hidden manipulator of crises and fear. It “manufactures monsters, engineers crises, and manipulates the population” so that people will seek salvation through faith. The Gandebranth Society is revealed as the organization funding the Church and pushing toward awakening the Harbinger. While publicly promoting benevolence, the Church’s true operations involve soul-drain, monster production, and covert political influence. Its dual nature - messiah and manipulator - is central to the game’s themes of power, control, and hidden corruption.

Vaen & The Grand Grimoire

The Vaen are god-like beings who originally helped humanity seal the Harbinger, but later became corrupt and engineered mass culling using the artifact known as the Grand Grimoire. The Grand Grimoire is described as "a magic crystal that … when shattered, absorbs all life within a thousand meters into itself to repair itself." Their transformation from protectors into global overseers underscores the game’s themes of power, cycles of abuse, and the consequences of immortality. By controlling life and death through the Grimoire and Maelstrom, the Vaen represent the ultimate antagonistic faction underpinning much of the world conflict.
