The Herian Resistance

Deep beneath the fallen capital of Herian, the remnants of King Roland’s loyalists endure. Formed in secrecy after the fall of the crown, the Herian Resistance serves as the last organized force against Blight’s tyranny. Hidden within the ancient sewer systems and forgotten tunnels, they rebuild in silence - gathering soldiers, refugees, and mages who refuse to bow to dragonfire.
Once an army of proud knights, the Resistance is now a shadow network bound by faith and vengeance. Under the King’s unseen command, they orchestrate sabotage, assassinations, and daring strikes against Blight’s legions. Few have seen their leaders, yet their symbol - the shattered crown - marks the walls of every rebel outpost across the realm.
The Blighted Legion

When Blight the Horrible rose to power, he forged the Blighted Legion from the ashes of Herian’s armies. Bound by corruption and dragonfire, this monstrous host spreads ruin across the land. It is said that Blight’s lieutenants - mighty dragons of greed, fury, and decay - command their own battalions of enslaved men and beasts, burning all that defies their master.
The Legion serves one purpose: to extinguish all memory of the old world and rebuild it under Blight’s rule. Cities that fall to them are left smoldering, their survivors turned into soldiers or fuel for the flames.
The Undying Host

In the wake of Blight’s conquest, the veil between life and death was torn apart. From the desecrated soil rose the Undying Host - legions of restless dead driven by an unseen will. Some claim Blight himself commands them through draconic sorcery; others whisper of necromancers who serve no master at all.
The Undying march across Herian’s wastelands without hunger or rest, consuming everything in their path. Even Blight’s own soldiers fear to cross them, for the dead bow to no banner - not even that of dragons.
The Herian Remnants
Not all of Herian’s soldiers fell during the siege. Scattered battalions and lone commanders still roam the frontier - the Herian Remnants, clinging to the last shreds of the King’s order. Some have joined the Resistance, others turned to mercenary work, and a few still hold forgotten forts, awaiting a call that may never come.
Their loyalty is their curse. Hunted by both the Blighted Legion and the undead, they fight a war already lost - yet refuse to surrender.
The Blackwave Corsairs

When Herian fell, chaos claimed the seas. Out of that chaos rose the Blackwave Corsairs, pirates who prey upon the broken coastal towns and supply routes once guarded by the crown’s fleet. Led by ruthless captains and deserters, they strike without allegiance - though whispers say Blight himself bought their loyalty in blood and gold.
To the Resistance, the Corsairs are both curse and opportunity. Dangerous, unpredictable, yet willing to trade or fight for coin, they are a reminder that in the new age of ruin, even the lawless may tip the scales of fate.
